Registration Rule To Aid Bond Fight Says Frank Inman
Frank Inman chairman of the bond movement announced that a new registration ruling has boosted the campaign. Registrar W S Richardson said about 12 000 of roughly 12 000 registered names have been purged, leaving 6 000 to 7 000 eligible voters for the March 15 bond election. Endorsements from Jewish Educational alliance divisions, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers units and Kadisha Lodge plus Amalgamated Street Railway Employees backing the measure strengthened the effort. Mayor Key and Inman spoke at meetings with W F Dykes at the alliance, while Mayson’s ruling restricting eligibility to those registering between January 1 and election day is viewed as favorable to the bond cause.

The blaze at 225 Woodward Avenue, a boarding house run by Mrs W A Feeney, sent attendees rushing for doors and windows as flames lit the sky. School Superintendent W F Dykes warned of the danger if a larger fire occurred. Frank M Inman urged funding for an adequate water supply.
