A powerful cyclone passed seven miles north of Homer at six yesterday evening, destroying parts of Claiborne parish with a 20 yard wide track. One white child and one Negro girl were killed, many wounded, and Cleveland and Taylor's store plus a steam mill were wrecked injuring Mr. Taylor.
