Depot Crossings Repair Underway Ahead of New Station Talks
W. W. Griffin wins the contract to repair Pryor and Loyd sitter crossings at both ends of the depot with work to start immediately. Surfaces will be raised, tracks repaired, and new cobbles replaced with broad Ragstones. Drainage will be laid to divert rainwater into Wahuma street sewers. Progress on depot flooring is slow with uncertain results. Railroads hint negotiations for a new passenger station are near completion and officials favor a new depot over costly further repairs.
