Washington C Feb 12 The schooner Manco capsized in Swan Quarter bay with Captain Robert Westcott and two white men drowned. Five negro crew members reportedly also died. The same evening the schooner Father Ind Sn sank in Pamlico river near Fork Point two crewmen died and two were saved.
Funeral services for Dr J L Mi Curry, who died last night, will be held Sunday afternoon from the Richmond College chapel. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond. The service will be conducted by Rev W C Bitting DPD of New York, assisted by Bishop Galloway of the Methodist Episcopal Church South of Wassissipp. A special car will convey the body to its final resting place.
Tampa Flo February 1 Five thousand dollars worth of diamonds were stolen from Adams Jewelry Store between 2 and 4 oclock this afternoon. Police arrested two men, one identified as Lawrence and one as Fenn, found with stolen rings and spotted near the scene. The chief led the investigation as patrolmen recovered evidence.
The treaty between the United States and Great Britain concerning the Alaska boundary is transmitted to the House. A draft bill appropriating 100 dollars to implement the treaty provisions accompanies the transmission.
The navy general board recommends two Cuban stations for naval use. One at Guantanamo on the southeast coast and one at Bahia Honda on the northwest, to control the two great commerce channels at Cuba’s ends.

In Jackson Tennessee February 1 Afrea Bilderback once of Cairo Dis and Miss Lacey Hudgins two members of prominent families wed yesterday evening. A warrant was sworn by Hudgins' father charging Bilderback with bigamy. Later that night a boarding house doorbell rang and boarder Robert EH McCaw was shot dead. Samuel Hudgins, Mrs Bilderback's father, was arrested nearby as investigators probe whether the marriage and shooting are linked. McCaw studied at the Southwestern Baptist University and would have graduated in June. he was said to be well connected in Rochester NF.
