Paris February 12. Edeon Breton aged twenty three threw a bomb at the Hotel Terminus cafe near St Lazare station wounding twenty. He fired on police and bystanders before being captured. Boisson a fellow anarchist was convicted today and struck the judge with bread shouting praise of anarchy.

M Leoffler a well known jeweler and pawn broker was arrested for failing to comply with a new city ordinance requiring daily reports from second hand dealers and a 24 hour hold before sale. He was released on bond and plans to challenge the measure in higher courts as a test of its validity.
The Panama Railroad Company reports City of Para reached Colon with Admiral Stanton and the Kearsage crew aboard. Stanton asked if they sail for New York on the 14th, confirmation received via dispatch. One crewman, fireman Anderson Robins, drowned. the ship abandoned on Roncador reef with flag still flying as City of Para leaves Colon for New York on Wednesday.

He estimates his liabilities between 60 000 and 75 000 with W T Forbes of Richmond preferred for 15 600. Aispaugh noted as respected in Winston. Archbishop Corrigan sails to Florida for about a month with plans to visit Dade City near Tampa before returning. Chears named general freight and passenger agent for Savannah Americus and Montgomery railroad replacing Wilburn leaving February 15.
Congressman W. L. Wilson chairman of the house ways and means committee is confined to his room but improved and hopes to resume his trip to Mexico Thursday his condition is not serious.

Telecommunication failed as spires collapsed, including St Mary’s Shrewsbury and Teignmouth church, with ships wrecked at Margate, Ramsgate, and Hull. In Chicago and southern states blizzards and windstorms caused widespread hazards and property damage.
Leading eastern papers and associated editors met in New York to form a coordinated organization for collecting and distributing world news. Representatives from The New York Herald Times Tribune Sun and related papers planned a six member eastern committee to outline a formal federation and limit competing interests. A friend says a non Atlantian man owed McMillan 600 and a note, the pocketbook missing, with a prior dispute over alleged swindling. The investigator plan begins tomorrow. McMillan was buried with a large funeral attendance.
Jackson Mississippi reports a cyclone within two miles of Beauregard on the Illinois Central railroad last night. Wires are down and initial loss of life could not be verified by 1 pm today. Separately Horace Smith and Henry Singleton, life convicts, ordered to be hanged within the penitentiary walls in March.
One of Raleighs largest funerals occurred for Colonel John M Heck. Attendees included Governor Carr and Colonel A B Andrews among many mourners. The report notes notable figures and community turnout at the First Baptist Sunday school event as the casket was received.
