Suffragists Plan Nationwide Campaign for Amendment
In New York on February 11 delegates from New Jersey Delaware Pennsylvania Maryland and New York met to organize regional efforts for the Susan B Anthony constitutional amendment. Funds totaling about 5000 were pledged, lifting the eastern campaign fund to 60000 as plans were made to recruit organizers for states where women already vote. The Congressional Union formed the Mid Atlantic States conference and announced further regional groupings with a chairman in each district. A petition to President Wilson urged careful consideration of the amendment, and senators and representatives were urged to vote for it. Frances Jolliffe of California supported sending organizers into suffrage states, and delegates will tour every suffrage state with potential reelection campaigns if officials oppose the measure. Madison reports an exhibition of pure-bred stock and home-grown feeds touring the state on February 13 from 1 to 6 pm drawing expected crowds.

A conference with R G DeLeach discusses large scale peanut reduction, peanut oil mills, and using cotton mills for peanut product manufacture. He notes peanuts are wasteless, oil sells 75 to 80 cents per gallon, with 2 bushels yielding a gallon, and peanut byproducts serve stock feed.
