Enraged husband shoots at Black person on trolley

A white husband and his wife quarrelled with a Black man aboard a Stone Mountain suburban trolley. The husband wrestled with streetcar staff, drew a public safety revolver, and shot the Black man in the hip as the car neared Farr Street and Cherokee Avenue. The Black man was arrested and the trolley continued to its terminal at the Stone Mountain line.

Theater and the Church Defend Plays as Moral Influence

Long Fight Won by Col Perkins in Navy Reinstatement

Daniel Goodman an insurance agent of St Louis sues Ophelia Wirt a wealthy St Joseph widow for breach of promise alleging she caused him heartache and financial loss. He seeks 3000 dollars plus 754.20 for expenses and lost salary and 100 dollars yearly for three years claiming her demand to relocate from New York to St Louis reduced his earnings by 100 dollars annually. Both are 30 years old.

Senator Bacon Sent to Garfield Hospital for X Ray

Washington special reports Senator Bacon was moved from his apartments in the Netherlands to Garfield hospital for an X-ray examination to find the cause of his protracted fever. He recently suffered a broken rib after a fall and has had a fever up to 103. His kidneys are affected and doctors are puzzled by the illness. Given his age he will turn 75 in October and concerns grow over his condition.

Lingo Dies In Personal Crisis After Mercury Dose

Dbblin Ga February Apesial jw Lingo, who last week took bichloride of mercury in a personal crisis, died last night and was buried in North View cemetery. After initial decline recovery seemed possible but he worsened Friday and Saturday, dying Saturday night in agony. He was about 25, survived by a wife and three children.

Wife shoots husband in desper ate duel over quarrel in Hall County

Gainesville Ga February 8 In a violent quarrel four children watched as Mrs Fences Carter shot her husband with an ax in their home. He was severely wounded and not expected to survive the night. Carter urged no arrest and asked to stay by his bedside, while the couple disputed blame and the cause of the dispute remained unclear.
