Speaker Crisp delivers a sweeping defense while Reed faces sharp rebuttal. The scene includes bouquets for Crisp, cheers for Wilson, and a crowded gallery as Congress closes the long debate.

Knoxville February 1 Special Lieutenant Fyffe and fifteen soldiers once guarding Coal Creek convicts were released without trial.
