Bank Robbery in Kiowa Ends With Destruction of Cash

December 27 Kiowa, a small town south of South Meailster, saw a bold bank robbery. Robbers forced entry via a rear window, dynamited the safe after three discharges, ripping the paper money to shreds. A posse of fifty men fired at the bank as robbers fled south, one bandit reportedly injured. loss placed at 28,000 to 32,000 with most destroyed. U S Marshals are in pursuit.

Edgerton Hotel Fire Suspect Revealed in Macon Case

Mrs KH Hicks wife of a Dooly county physician is arrested as a fire at the Edgerton hotel on Fourth street is investigated by Detective Amerson. The room showed crude fire devices and oil soaked rags. Hicks admitted identity but denied involvement as authorities pursue the motive and origin of the blaze.

Bandits Raid Pennsy Towns Along Main Line

Philadelphia dispatch reports two white men with revolvers robbed a safe and held up several people along the Pennsylvania road main line towns Havreford Stratford and nearby stations. Murdered Mother's Neck Seized By Child in Salt Lake City

Frank Rose a barber surrendered to police in Salt Lake City after confessing to killing his wife Christmas afternoon. Their two year old son endured two days locked in a cold bedroom with the body, gored by his mother's blood. Christmas Dinner Stampede at Coliseum Feeds 10600

Chicago December 27. During a stampede of 10 600 men women and children for admission at the Coliseum opening of the doors Volunteers of America served their annual Christmas dinner. Glass doors were broken and a dozen policemen struggled to restore order. Several women and children were knocked down but no serious injuries reported. Food supplies were exhausted after the rush.
