Candler County Wins Boundary Line Dispute
Secretary of State Phil Cook ruled that the Candler Tattnall boundary line runs as set by surveyor C E Roberts. The decision hinges on the act directing a direct line from a starting point to Kennedy's bridge on the Canacher river, allowing an easterly direction even if not due east. The ruling notes that the lines must be harmonized with other definite descriptions and that the legality of the county creation was not before him.
