Harris to Seek Re-Election Amid Pressure from Supporters
Thomas B. Felder says Governor Harris faces pressure from across the state to run again, arguing the race centers on principle and that liquor interests fear a Harris refusal would hurt a national cause. Felder notes a strong sentiment that a governor who serves well should succeed himself, a precedent largely followed since Brown’s unexpired term.
