A woman convicted of murdering her young husband was executed by hanging in Windsor Vermont yesterday. The state prison carried out the sentence after a lengthy trial and appeals process, bringing to a close a high profile local murder case.
Windsor Vermont December Mary Mabel Rogers calmly faced execution for murdering her husband Marcus Rogers on August 13 1902 at Bennington She climbed to the scaffold without a tremor or protest and died after 14 minutes 30 seconds with no sensational incidents. She refused meals and read the Bible while awaiting death aided by Father De Janey and others.
New York December 8 A legislative committee pursuing 126 insurance conditions votes to urge District Attorney William J. Jerome to press charges against Thomas F. Ryan. Ryan declined to reveal what Harriman said about sharing Equitable stock, citing private conversations, while admitting that Harriman threatened a legislative probe if he did not concede.

Foreign Secretary Richthofen received Harry S. George Tucker president of the Jamestown Exposition Company. Tucker described aims and secured Richthofen's promise to support the anticipation of Germany’s squadron at the power plant event. The meeting occurred in Berlin on February 8.
