A German aged about 80, boxed in a case marked J. B. 71, was found alive and unconscious in the hold of the steamer Palatia at Hoboken. He had water, whisky, and bread, with no air holes and no hatch opening during the voyage. Mrs Martha Park Huntley aged 73 died at her Broad Street home after pneumonia.
