Southern cattlemen urge keeping cotton seed meal here
At the Birmingham convention Dr. Peter F. Hahneen Georgia state veterinarian says export of cotton seed meal should not be encouraged and feeding it to livestock in the South should be promoted. He notes papers show cotton seed meal is valuable for feed at current prices and cites Georgia efforts to promote the cattle industry and reduce reliance on imported stock.
