A Black man, Marehman, reportedly shot a white captor near Greville, Georgia, escaping after a chase that began at a cushy estate. The suspect, a man described as a negra, fled toward a negra’s house as officials search for details and possible accomplices.
Georgia report notes Governor Slaten delayed signing a measure annexing Cherokee Watts to Macon, barring residents from voting in the forthcoming municipal primary which would have been allowed had the bill been signed three days earlier.
