Two young white men Oscar Williams and C B Thoman testified at a preliminary hearing that whisky was drugged and placed in a car by W A Smith and Pierce Rosser, then taken to Cedar Bluff Alabama and left in a hotel. The men were later found and brought back, with one treated by Dr Hammond. The defense claims they left voluntarily after payment. Smith and Roser are bound over to the superior court on kidnapping charges with bonds set at 1000 each.
