Tragic Death of Hutto Murphy in Moultrie Veranda
In Moultrie Georgia on August 13 special reports the death of 3 year old Hutto Murphy son of Mr and Mrs Hk Gurphr. He collapsed while playing on the veranda near his father and died suddenly. The physician cited Brights disease as the cause.

Cicero Majors Dies After Ponce de Leon Street Car Collision
Cleere H Majors, connected with the Back-Grege Hardware Company, was struck on Ponce de Leon avenue near the Boulevard and died at Atlanta hospital. The 38 year old man, reportedly rushing to catch the car, was hurled to the ground after impact. The motorman stopped, ambulance responders aided, and doctors said skull fracture left little chance of recovery. The accident remains under investigation with company officials declining comment.

Exact text of the dog tax law to be enacted
Under the general tax act effective January 1 1916 a tax of 41 per head is laid on all dogs. The tax is collected by levy and sale like other taxes and does not interfere with municipal dog taxes. If no bid at sale covers the amount, the dog shall be killed by the levying officer.
Drowning of Caroline Middleton at Atlanta lake
Caroline Middleton 16, daughter of James Middleton of Piedmont Avenue, drowned in East Lake at the Atlanta Athletic Club after losing her bathing wings. Her sister Margaret and friends watched as she sank in 16 feet. Attempts to revive her failed. Two club workers and local divers recovered the body after 15 minutes. Life judged extinct.
