A vast procession escorts victims to Rose Hill Cemetery amid hush and dread. Scenes inside the house reveal a mother’s duty, a sister’s grief, and a brutal outbreak as Tom Woolfolk unleashes violence. Crowds gather, prayers rise, and the town faces a somber, unsettled dawn.
Javier Birdsong of Macon guides Woolfolk to Atlanta for safe custody. The journey began at 3:45 AM with handcuffs and a cord, aboard a second class rail car. Woolfolk offered a few remarks about the crime while the quiet ride proceeded to Fulton County jail where he was handed over.
The Bibb county prisoner Woolfolk, held after a grisly murder, was brought to Fulton jail and placed in a corridor cell. He ate breakfast hungrily, spoke quietly, and refused to answer directly about the crimes, while visitors Schofield and Sims offered support and awaited a closed-door interview with Judge Nisbett.
