Whitehall Street Regrading Urged By Property Owners
Property owners along Whitehall Street push a regrading project from Trinity Avenue to Cooper. A committee meeting with the street committee and Captain F B M Clayton led to a thorough inspection. Plans cover Mitchell to Windsor with an estimated cost near 40000, funded by owner subscriptions and city/county support. Additional gains target extending Whitehall beyond the railroad to Hapeville, with a boulevard fifty feet wide proposed, requiring land donations and taxes.
