Real estate figure Marvin L. Thrower urges railroads to grant stopovers in Atlanta on one way tickets. He warns slow concessions will boost automobile competition as Georgia's roads expand, noting wholesale houses sending salesmen by auto to cover territory and stressing Atlanta's need for stopovers to aid the city.

A. L. Thayer of Bouton reported passenger engine No. 1 859 on Southern Railway Columbus division had a front wheel with all spokes cracked and eight rear spokes defective. The Atlanta inspection by C Pollock for the railroad commission yielded no stated result, with a report to follow. Master Mechanic Akin disputed claims of defect, saying the engine is not in defective condition and has run constantly without serious trouble. Thayer said rain delayed the Columbus to Atlanta run by about forty minutes due to a plug blowing out of the engine and noted the wheel defects as the train arrived in Atlanta.
