Georgia Doctors Gather for 83rd Anniversary Meeting in Macon

The Georgia medical association held its annual gathering in Macon on April 16 in the superior court room with Dr. K P Moore presiding. Dr. W F Holt delivered welcomes as Dr. Alexander spoke of Macon’s growth and learning institutions while Dr. Calhoun addressed the audience and Dr. Calhoun presented a paper on near sightedness and child study limits. The event included addresses by physicians from Atlanta and Augusta, with about twenty five new members admitted and plans for further sessions and a dinner at the Brown House.

Death by Own Action In Macon Cemetery Inquiry

An elderly man identified as a former Southwestern Railroad conductor died in a Macon cemetery area after discovering a body and leaving a note requesting no dressings, with an inquest conducted by Coroner Hodnett. Neighbors and officials traced the event to a possible self-inflicted or grim misadventure with limited means and no immediate family present.

Senate inquiry on Strobach nomination tenure dispute
