Indianapolis Automobiles Saved Lives During Flood
During a severe city flood Indianapolis auto plants aided rescue efforts. Test cars from Marion Motor Car, Motor Car Manufacturing, Noradyke Marion, Fr Irvin Body and others ferried residents to safety as streetcar service failed. Henderson Motor Car Co provided drivers and the old Bolivar car aided police movement. The flood show closed, proceeds aiding victims, while factories resumed full operations after water subsided.
