Bond Transfer Authorized in Atlanta Telephone Case
The court ended the dispute between Atlanta Standard Telephone Company and Atlanta Trust and Banking Company. Judge Lumpkin approved a $600,000 bond transfer to City Trust Safe Deposit and Surety Company of Philadelphia, dissolved the injunction, and left the trust in place to cancel the mortgage. The phone company must post a $20,000 bond and pay the trustee $750 plus the trustee’s counsel similar fees. Counsel for the telephone company provided security from City Trust, which the court accepted. The case, filed February 13, sought removal of the trust company as trustee and an injunction against declaring bonds or foreclosing the mortgage. The ruling ends litigation. the Philadelphia investors reportedly control the enterprise. The stockholders’ meeting indicated satisfactory operations and full settlement of indebtedness except unrecovered bonds.

Southern Home Receivers Say Company Will Pay Out
