Newport New Jersey October 17 a Newport woman found at the foot of the cliff under liquor influence was later identified as the wife of Walter Bussey a New York caterer She wished privacy for her husband and children before she died The next morning her remains were found near the spot with head and knee injuries attributed to a fall in a disturbed mood She was 29 years old.
From Rome dispatch Oct 17 Washington informed Italy that any Italian immigrants sentenced in Italian courts may not land in the United States. Reports show a revival in exports to the U S with a dealer applying for four hundred cars of logs despite the policy.
Two double cotton bagging weddings will be held at the Piedmont exposition next week. On Monday October 20 Rev Sam Jones will unite Edgar Fuller and Pearl George of Atlanta F M Lacy and Anna Kirk of Cobb county. On Thursday October 30 Dr Hawthorne will wed George W Stovall of Gwinnett and Antonett Petty of Gwinnett, and William Bryant of Fulton to Mrs Barrer of Atlanta.
In Cabtxy Ga October 17 Tom Hughes a young white man worked at D C Hambys sawmill when a steam pipe burst and threw him. His left side of face lacerated and both hands badly cut. The right hand was amputated and the left may follow.

TatmoTH Kentucky October 17. Town marshal S E R Vogelong was shot Thursday night as he approached the gate. An unknown assassin fired a double load of buckshot, killing him instantly. Several witnesses heard the shot and suspect murder.
Mrs. Lillian Gould, charged with stabbing her husband on June 1 last in this town, was acquitted in a second trial. The jury found she acted in self defense as both were intoxicated and Gould was obliged to defend herself.
Harmony Grove Ga Oct 18 special report Mr T L Gantt editor of The Athens Banner spoke to a large gathering of farmers and Alliancemen in Arp Banks county praising Banks county guards and urging votes for his party. He defended candidates and attacked Jeffersonian Democrats while condemning the Sub Treasury bill and Senator Gordon.
