Georgia and Clemson fought a 0-0 tie on Sanford Field with neither side gaining a decisive edge. About six thousand watched as Georgia’s Neville and Clemson’s Banks led solid defense and several long runs. a critical fumble and near-miss passes shaped the tense, scoreless contest.
Thanksgiving observances and citywide devotion marked the day in Athens. Georgia football fans celebrated the unanimous election of Bum Day as captain for 1920 while praising his rise from the Eleventh A and M to a key center on a powerhouse line. Coach Cunningham lauded the team’s esprit de corps and historic defense, as Georgia eyed a standout season and a storied legacy for the Red and Black.

University coeds organize The Pioneers club for arts education and science degrees. Miss Mary Colvin of Atlanta is temporary chair, with a committee to draft constitution and by laws. Officers elected include President Ruth Reed Gainesville and others from Graymont Comer Wrens Jefferson Caldovega Monroe.
Maxim Litvanoff, in Copenhagen for repatriation talks, tries to push beyond prisoners toward peace. James O Grady of Britain was told to limit discussions to prisoners. Mrs White recovers from recent illness.
Salem Oregon November 27 Senator McNary Republican of Oregon predicted the Senate would ratify the peace treaty next session with reservations to remove doubts about the covenant of the League of Nations. Senator Corsh Republican of teano Irreconcilables outlined a program urging passage of a resolution declaring peace and starting reconstruction work. Secretary Glass warned again against exchanging Liberty Bonds for stock in fraudulent ventures. The government offered no comment on Mexico's note demanding relief for Consular Agent Jenkins or potential actions regarding his prosecution and trial.
At a shareholder meeting of Georgia National and American State Banks, John T. Pittard of Winterville and W T Brightwell of Maxeys were elected directors. Pittard is a leading Winterville businessman and Pittard Banking Company president. Brightwell is president of the Bank of Maxeys and a prominent property owner.
Beginning tonight at the YWCA gymnasium Miss Martha Nicholson, Recreation Director, will oversee programs aligning with the interests of attendees. A strong basketball team is expected to form with match games arranged against other teams. University women students have formed a team and practice at the YWCA. Indoor tennis and folk games are planned. On the first and third Friday each month young men are invited for group games, singing and open evenings. girls enter by membership card. This Friday evening is open to women only with games, stunts, and a general good time as plans for basketball teams begin.
