Supreme Court to Hear Contempt Case in Lynch Conspiracy
Washington May 24 The U S Supreme Court will hear for the first time a punishment for contempt of court linked to the Ed Johnson lynching case in Chattanooga Tennessee. Sheriff Shipp Deputy Gibson and six others face sentencing after being found guilty of contempt for conspiring with residents in March 1905 to lynch a man sentenced for rape.
