Revival At First Methodist Church Next Sunday Morning
Revival services begin Sunday at the First Methodist church with Rev. J A Burrough of Abingdon VA assisting Pastor Rev J G Johnson. Daily prayer meetings precede the revival with multiple leaders named for each Monday and Tuesday night venue across the city. Ladies’ meeting Wednesday at 5 pm in the Sunday school room and a general layman led prayer meeting follow.

World record sealed bonnet auto run from New Haven to New York
A 1908 Maxwell touring car and a Stoddard-Dayton runabout set a sealed bonnet world record in a 174 mile New Haven to New York and back trial. The stock cars completed the route in 11 hours and 50 minutes with no engine aids beyond throttle and clutch, facing hills including Pat's Hill at Greenwich.
