Grand Chancellor Nickerson of Georgia and Chancellor Commander Carithers of St Elmo Lodge leave Monday for Atlanta to attend Grand Chancellor Barnes's entertainment tour of the South. Knights of Pythias in Atlanta prepared extensively and many Georgia members are to join the event.

Runaway Horse Crashes into Pole Injuring Rider Near Court House

Yesterday around 3 pm in the western city section Hough Weatherly drove a horse attached to a buggy. The frightened horse ran uncontrollably, throwing Weatherly with great force near the courthouse. He suffered bad bruises and shock, while the horse was mortally injured and later killed.

Three youths Sentenced to State Reformatory

Yesterday morning Judge Howell Cobb sentenced Guy Kenney Kendall Lilly and Ellie Matthews, three white boys who entered Church's store, took goods, ate them and refused to pay. Due to their youth they were sent to the state reformatory for juvenile offenders and will soon be sent to Milledgeville. The sentence drew public commendation.

Fred Beusse of this city has written Charleston manager requesting his release after an ankle injury leaves him unable to play this season. He had agreed to join Charleston but now seeks release. manager's decision is not yet known.
