Jackson Mississippi February 5 The deed from Mrs Jefferson Davis to the United Sons of Confederate Veterans for Beauvoir preserves the property as a home for indigent ex Confederates and prohibits use as a memorial to others. It also requires title transfer only to Mississippi and obligates Sons to support the soldiers horn unless state funding is arranged. Mrs Davis preferrs preserving pavilions and specific rooms including the office where Jefferson Davis wrote The Rise and Fall of the Southern Confederacy.
Monday afternoon at 4 o clock the Athens Chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy will hold its regular monthly meeting at Mrs M W Stovall home on Milledge avenue. Members are urged to attend promptly as the session will be of importance.

E F Sneed, son in law of B K Reeves of this city, died yesterday morning at his Lynchburg home of heart disease after a period of ill health. He married Miss Mary Reaves of this city and had visiting friends here. funeral planned for today in Lynchburg.
