West Orange December 23 Associated Press reports Recorder Landers softened his stance after recalling childhood. He ordered three mischief-makers to forgo Christmas presents and yuletide celebrations and to bed by 6:30 nightly for a month. Citizens protested, and tonight the sentences were suspended through Christmas. Santa Claus was not notified.
