Yesterday morning between five and six o'clock the residence of Mr Geo M Booth on Sandy Creek road within the corporate limits was destroyed by fire. The house burned quickly before discovery and none of the furniture could be saved. Total loss about 3000 with 1800 insurance on furniture and dwelling. Fire started in the roof likely from a chimney. No alarm or fire department response.
