Death of Miss Eunice Archey Bright Young Daughter

Miss Eunice Archey fourteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Archey of the Southern Mill settlement died yesterday afternoon from pneumonia after several days illness. Funeral held at Beth Haven church Madison county with burial at the family cemetery nearby.

City Council Debates Tax Payment Plan and Barry Whisky Case

The May or and council heatedly debated John Barry's whisky in stock case with the fine paid earlier. A new ad valorem tax installment plan proposes three payments, April July and November first, with full tax due if any installment is missed. The ordinance would repeal conflicting measures and a first reading occurred.

Dunaway Fund Continues to Grow at Local Drive

The Dunaway fund total rose to 854.00 in cash held by the committee after recent contributions. On Wednesday first, 45.00 was added, and yesterday matched that amount. Ryder to Lead Vineville Church in Macon

Rev James T Ryder has been appointed pastor of Vineville Methodist Church in Macon for the ensuing conference year. Government ginners report lowers cotton market

The government ginners report released yesterday shows a drop in the market by about twenty points. It records 10,139,000 bales ginned in the cotton growing states as of December first, with figures around 10,189,000 noted in the text.

University Sophomore Cowan mourns sister Lula Cowan
