Major Carson says packers favor cotton seed oil for cost and policy, hoping demand will grow for Georgia produced oil used by Maine and European sardine interests.

National apple show in Spokane closed its second exhibition on November 20 with 1,525,831 apples weighing in at about three inches each. The display covered three and a half acres, with 23 states and Canadian provinces represented. Twenty boxes of prize apples go to President Taft, ten to the emperor of Japan, and fifty to European royalty and the French president.
