Cotton seed price urged at 30 cents in Georgia
Atlanta August 23 cotton seed will not be sold for less than 30 cents a bushel in Georgia fall if farmers heed the Georgia division of the Southern Cotton Association which passed a resolution to fix the minimum at 30 cents. The body levied a one cent bale assessment on each county to sustain the state organization. Delegates supported cooperation with spinners and barbecues were planned in Coweta. A counter view argued for 10 cents per pound and warned against arbitrary 30 cent seed pricing, with farmer J D Price defending a lower rate.
