State Normal School May Get an Increase
The senate special appropriations committee amended the house bill raising funding for several institutions. The Tech would receive 65 000 per annum, up from 60 000, while the State Normal School gets 35 000 instead of 30 000 and the Georgia Normal and Industrial 35 000 instead of 30 000. Negro drugstore employee accused of selling alcohol
Yesterday afternoon Officer D. J. Cook arrested Charlie Goode, a Negro man who works at Warren J. Smith & Brother drug store, for selling a Negro boy a half pint of alcohol. He is believed to have stolen the liquor and sold it before. A trial is set for this morning before Mayor Dorsey and then sent to Judge Cobb's court.
