Will of Mrs. Stowe Probated in Jacksonville
The will of Harriett Beecher Stowe, author of Uncle Tom’s Cabin, was brought to Jacksonville Florida for probate by her son Charles E. Stowe. It bequeaths the Mandarin estate on the St Johns River to Charles and her daughters Harriet and Elizabeth Stowe, with equal shares of other property. Stowe died in 1896 in Hartford and the will dated November 8 1885 is now presented for probate.
