Teen shooter kills father then opens fire at Townville School
In Townville South Carolina a teenager killed his father at home before driving to Townville Elementary and wounding two boys and a female teacher with a handgun. Police said the student body of about 300 was evacuated to a church as authorities investigated the motive and the lone shooter was detained within minutes.

Ohio suspect tied to four slayings cannot name first victim
A Marion County sheriff says Shawn Grate cannot recall the name of the first victim, a woman in her mid 20s killed over a decade ago and not identified. Grate, charged on a 23 count indictment including aggravated murder and rape, confessed to abducting and murdering a magazine seller, with remains found in 2007 near Marion and other bodies discovered at an Ashland County property. Police also located two other victims identified as Elizabeth Griffith and Stacey Stanley, and an unidentified body in Richland County near Mansfield.
