Education Board Member Resigns and Debates Successor
Huenefeld tendered his resignation as a city education board member at the latest meeting and it was accepted. The board also moved to propose free textbooks funded by a levy not exceeding one mill at the November election. Funds shortages postponed actions on gym equipment, lockers, desks, a Victrola for the writing teacher, and a school directory. Signs to guard school zones were referred to the purchasing committee.
