Sweden today paid solemn honors to Dag Hammarskjold and nine other crash victims arriving from the Congo. More than 300 soldiers paraded as the coffin lay on a catafalque at Bromma Airport, with a 43-member army band playing the royal death march. A state funeral is set for Friday at Uppsala as Hammarskjold’s life is honored with royal ceremonial rites.
Dale Dutton of Dutton Drug Co in Middleport was found guilty on two charges in Mayor Kenneth McElhinney’s court. He was fined 100 plus costs for employing an unregistered pharmacist and 250 plus costs for operating an unregistered pharmacy selling barbiturate preparations. This was his first offense and he intends to remedy the situation.
The American Newspaper Publishers Association will file objections with the Federal Communications Commission over proposed higher rates for leased wire services. The Associated Press will join the ANPA in presenting its exceptions to the rate increases.
