Logan City Budget Nears Approval For 1956 Operations
The Logan city council approved a 328,000 dollar budget prepared by city auditor Ruth Easterling. It outlines operating needs for all departments and bond retirement, compiled under state guidance, and will be reviewed by county auditors and the tax commission after revisions. The plan forecasts a 1,392 dollar general fund shortfall for 1956 and notes deficits in the gas tax street repair and cemetery funds, with several funds expecting small positive balances.
