Nelsonville blasting case settles in Athens County
A Nelsonville by pass blasting dispute between Michael and Susan Nolan and Hilltop Energy Co. settled through a dismissal signed by Judge L Alan Goldsberry. The Nolans claimed their Pleasantview Avenue home settled and tile floor tenting occurred after 2012 blasting. Terms of the undisclosed settlement end a jury trial set for November 7 to decide liability and damages.

Woman fends off carjacker with wrench in Cleveland parking deck
Michelle Hills-Doxey, a document specialist at Squire Patton Boggs, was attacked in a Key Bank Tower Mariott parking garage. A man entered her 2016 Volkswagen Jetta, hid his face, and struck her with a wrench after she bit his thumb and screamed for help. She escaped, bruised, and police have not arrested anyone. Her daughter drove her to Cleveland Clinic. Police say cameras were not being watched.
