Abusive sister and colorblind parenting questions
DEAR ABBY column covers two letters from readers. A woman endures belittling, exclusive treatment from her boyfriend's sister and fears its impact on her relationship. Advice urges confronting the sister or leaving, noting unhealthy dynamics and abuse risk. A second reader, a biracial mother in Texas, faces strangers prying about her son's race. Abby suggests calm honesty about the child's race when questioned to avoid defensiveness and long term confusion.
