Ohio gas suppliers predict adequate fuel for harsh winter
Ohio four major natural gas suppliers told Gov. Rhodes that fuel shortages causing unemployment or school closings are unlikely even if winter is severe. East Ohio Gas Co. led with optimism that supply will be sufficient for 1977-78, with CG&E and Columbia Gas of Ohio also projecting adequate delivery though some curtailments possible for boiler fuel if temps drop sharply. DP&L expects about 4.5 percent more gas, easing potential shortages while officials noted no unemployment expected in their service area.
