Pomeroy Panthers Drill for Game Against Pt. Pleasant
Pomeroy Panthers prepare for Pt. Pleasant Thursday night under coach Speed Johnson. Critics note the team’s weak passing attack from opening games, while emphasizing their weight and power. If speed develops, the Panthers could contend in a strong league with teams like Athens and Wellston. Practice space at Middleport limits scrimmages, but seniors Tracy Blackwell Curd W Brown Hite Clark Brickles Crow anchor the line. Starting lineup likely repeats last week with Fick at left end and Clark at quarterback. younger players may rotate in as comers emerge.
