Judge Granting issued a preliminary injunction Wednesday blocking chip and seal work on Dutch Creek Road. The order likely halts completion of the project this year due to cooler temperatures and timing for emulsion application. A final injunction hearing is scheduled.
Warden Jerry Tolson quits effective immediately after 18 years at the jail and eight years as warden. He will stay part time through Nov 30 to aid transition, then join Athens County Auditor’s Office as chief deputy while remaining part time at the jail.
