A county meeting last week discussed paving an alley from West State Street along the east edge of the Old Cemetery to the First and Lancaster Streets junction. RF McKay, owner at First and Lancaster, offered to donate the narrow end of his lot to ease alley entrance to Lancaster Street. The project would shorten the dirt run and aid a heavily traveled shortcut, with several houses already on the alley.
