Eight Chauncey residents faced arraignment before Magistrate C. H. Porter after an alleged Chauncey Tuesday night attack on Emmett Pickett and Virgil Hamilton. Leonard and Dickerson charged with assault with intent to kill pleaded not guilty. bond set at 3800 each and they jailed for failure to post. All eight pleaded not guilty to riotously assembling with intent to commit assault. bonds 300 each and none posted.
