Athens Unit Cancer Crusade Totals 11361 Bucks Raised
The Athens Unit of the American Cancer Society reported 11361 collected during the county crusade, up 2700 from last year, at a Friday awards banquet led by Dr Leland Randles and Maybelle Bartlett. Certificates honored contributors and volunteers from numerous local groups. The event included awards to Dr Randles Crusade Chair Edward Van Dyke and others, plus a film on Dr Pap.
