Sports Build Character Rhodes Tells Rotarians

Mayor James A. Rhodes of Columbus urged competitive sports as a sign of American freedom and a tool for character building at the Athens Rotary meeting. He warned taxpayers to defend public schools and universities from anti freedom influences and foreign "isms" in education and athletics.
