Two Are Shot at The Plains In Family Dispute
Frank Vernon 40 of The Plains shot Sanford Moore 45 near his home after believing Moore attacked his wife. Mrs Vernon lost her left arm below the elbow from a shot during the struggle. Moore was wounded in the left neck area. Both victims were taken to Shelterings Arms hospital in Athens. Vernon jailed in Athens county awaiting charges. Five witnesses named. Prosecution expected early next week.
